GIC Exam Eligibility 2021

The basic criteria that candidates need to fulfil in order to meet GIC recruitment eligibility are:

  • A candidate should either be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin
  • A candidate should be aged between 21 and 30 years. The candidate should have been born not earlier than 02.02.1991 and not later than 01.02.2000 (both days inclusive).
  • A candidate should possess a graduation or post-graduation degree with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks. Note: The subject of graduation/post-graduation varies as per the stream for which the candidate is applying.

Important Note: The candidate should possess all the educational qualification on or before February 1, 2021.

Relaxation in the upper age limit to the candidates belonging to the reserved category candidates will be provided as given in the table below.

Note: In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on a cumulative basis subject to the maximum age not exceeding 45 years.
