In fact,I like all the scientists but my favourite scientist is Dr.Vikram Sarabhai. He was born in 1919. Right from his childhood, he loved science. His father Ambalal Sarabhai was a well-known industrialist. He engaged the best teachers to give education to his son. 1. At the age of 17, Vikram went to Cambridge and got his degree in Natural Science in 1939. He received a doctorate from the Cambridge University. Then he worked on cosmic rays, he continues his research work under the guidance of Dr.C.V.Raman at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. He had great capacity as an organizer so he established and developed "ATIRA' in Ahmedabad. He also established 'the Indian Institute of Management' in Ahmedabad. In the field of space science and technology, he set up the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching station. He worked as the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India. Vikram Sarabhai was much more than a scientist: He was a champion of peace. He took an active interest in world peace. He was a great lover of literature and fine arts. He was fond of music and drama too. He loved to read English poetry, drama and fiction. He was always simple and modest. India owes a lot to this great scientist.
