Freedom According to J. Krishnamurty
- According to J. Krishnamurty, freedom is not a complex problem but it is very simple.
- He says that to watch something beautiful, we must have a free mind.
- The free mind must not be occupied with problems or with worries.
- Freedom needs great intelligence because Freedom is a state of mind in which there is not.
- The function of education is to help us from childhood not to copy anybody, but to be ourselves.
- Freedom lies in understanding, not in trying to become something different.
- There can be no freedom till we are merely trying to imitate a noble example.
2. Hurdles (obstacles) in Achieving the Real Freedom
- A mind full of fear can never enjoy freedom.
- For enjoying real freedom our mind should be from all worries and fears.
- It is not freedom, when we are following traditions.
- Freedom is a state of mind in which there is no fear or pressure.
- If we are imitating any tradition, people or person, it will be obstacles for our liberty.
- We must have our own understanding. There can be no freedom as long as we try to become a noble example.
- We think people will say about us that we are wonderful and we look lovely.
- We also want them to appreciate us that we have great intelligence.
- All this gives us confidence, a sense of importance.
- We are not free because the social, religious, parental and traditional powers are finishing at us.
- We are also not free because we desire to be good and noble.
- The moment we want to be something, we are far away from our freedom.
- We can be free only when we have no fear or pressure.
- After understanding freedom in its true sense, we can experience the extraordinary beauty of freedom.
